Yeah, I know…what a headline…but check out what the South Carolina Department of Education along with SC DHEC are up to now. They are working together and sponsoring a competition for any kids in K-12 to create a winning jingle that encourages kids to get Covid vaccinated. There’s big money here as well. Their Facebook posted is embedded below.
How far will these mad vaccinators go to try to convince, conjole and bribe students to get vaccinated against Covid which is shown to have almost no impact on children. These people are out of their minds but it does not surprise me that they would resort to this latest strategy. I think this will prove to be some great comedy when they publish the winners. More fodder to poke fun at as they push nonstop for everyone to get their shot.
Here’s a video parody created by comedian Chris Mann. Maybe something like this…I’m sure there are some funny parodies on TikTok but I’m not a user of that app.
South Carolina has so much going for it. It’s a high growth area as more and more people decide to leave cold weather climates and head south. The economy has lots of business activity particularly in the area of manufacturing and health care…and of course there are always the lovely and highly popular South Carolina Beaches.
So you’re thinking of making a move south and you’re wondering what the tax ramifications might be of living in the state of South Carolina? Well, here is a terrific resource about South Carolina taxes from Smart Asset that goes through much of what you’ll probably be looking for as you make your decision to move to South Carolina. I don’t think this has the information about how South Carolina will tax you when you bring vehicles in to the state from another state. That’s always a BIG surprise for folks and I’ll either add that to this post tomorrow or do a separate one on that issue. That tax will leave a mark 🙂
South Carolina State Parks just issued a mask mandate requiring visitors over the age of two to wear masks while visiting the parks.
According to the South Carolina State Parks Facebook Page:
“Effective immediately, visitors over the age of two years old are required to wear a mask in any state park facility staffed by employees or where the general public may congregate. This includes park offices, visitor centers, stores, nature centers, restrooms or while touring any indoor facility being considered for rent. In the event that visitors do not have a mask, they will be asked to remain outside of the facility and park employees will assist them and accommodate their needs, if possible.
Any park rental facility to include cabins, campsites, picnic shelters, group facilities, etc, are considered as having restricted use and will be the responsibility of the party renting that facility. It is recommended that they follow all CDC and SCDHEC guidelines regarding social distancing and mask wearing, but park staff will not be responsible for reinforcing those guidelines.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to stop the spread and protect our visitors and employees.”
